Paleo Filipino Chicken ‘Nilaga’ Recipe

Here’s another Filipino recipe to diversify your paleo recipes. This recipe is great for cold weather. It can be served with or without rice. Enjoy!

Prep Time: 15 minutes             Cook Time: 30-40 minutes          Total Time: 45-55 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6 Organic Golden Potato
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Shallot
  • ½ head of Cabbage
  • 1 bunch of Bokchoy
  • 1 Tablespoon Peppercorns
  • 1/2 Tbsp of salt
  • 1 Chicken Bouillon or 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 bunch of Green Onions
  • 1/2 or 1 lb chicken wings
  • 6 cups of water

Instructions:

  1. Boil 6 cups of water in a deep pot
  2. Add the chicken broth, garlic, shallots and pepper
  3. Add the chicken wings
  4. Let it boil for another 30 minutes
  5. Add the potatoes, bokchoy, green onions, and cabbage
  6. Stir and simmer for another 10 to 20 minutes
  7. Optional: Serve with rice
